HexaBees is a modular, wall-mounted observation hive that turns one wall of your home into a window onto nature's most fascinating workforce. Through a clear panel, you'll watch your colony build comb, raise brood, store honey, and dance their famous waggle... the same intimate view biologists pay thousands for, now framed in your living room, classroom, or office.

What you get

• Close-up access to a real honeybee colony. Watch worker bees fan the hive, the queen lay eggs, drones come and go, and comb fill with honey — all behind a clear window, at eye level, in your home.
• A hive that grows with your colony. Starts as a tidy 7-hexagon cluster on your wall. As the bees expand, you add more hexes — one at a time, like a living mosaic.
• Safe outdoor bee access. A built-in entry connector lets your bees fly in and out freely, foraging your garden and neighbourhood — they live with you, but they're free.
• Full control of the colony. Queen excluder, airflow channel, and open connectors let you guide where the queen lives, how air moves, and how the colony spreads.
• Wall-ready installation. French cleat mounting and a printed wall template mean it hangs as easily as a piece of art.

A few honest notes

• You'll need ¼" clear plexiglass panels for the front of each hex (cut-to-size template included — any local plastics shop can cut them for a few dollars each).
• You'll need bees. A mated queen and a starter colony are easy to source. We recommend Carniolan honey bees (Apis mellifera carnica) for their calm temperament, especially for first-time keepers or city homes. Mann Lake and your local apiary society are great places to start.
• If this is your first hive, join your local beekeepers' association. They'll be your best resource.
